The Great Magpies

From 1892 over 1,000 young men have pulled on the famous black and white stripes of the Collingwood Football Club.

Here we pay tribute to a handful of those that have given extraordinary service to the greatest club in the land.


Eddie Hillgrove
One of the great behind the scenes men of the Collingwood Football Club
Ed is famous for his exploits during the 1990 grand final


Paul Licuria
Current VFL Team Manager and 182 game veteran of
the Collingwood Football Club (192 AFL games)

Heath Shaw 
At home where his father Ray amd Uncle Tony captained
great Collingwood sides to premierships in 1990 and 1979.


Gavin 'Rowdy' Brown
1990 Premiership player and coach of the Collingwood VFL team.
Gavin was also a member of the 1986 U19 premiership winning team
with Mick McGuane, Damian Monkhorst and Gavin Crosisca


Mick Twomey
Son of Bill Twomey Snr (1919 premiership player)
Uncle of David Twomey (1979-1985)
Brother of Bill Jnr and Pat.  They are the only three brothers in league football history to have played in a premiership winning side together in 1953.
Mick won premierships in 1953 and 1958.


David Twomey
1979 - 1985. 
Grandson of Bill Twomey Snr and nephew of Bill Jnr, Pat and Mick Twomey
David is currently the football development manager for Reclink
